Beginning his career in 1981 in the United States Army Guy Hughes now serves as Major for the Ashley County Sheriff’s Department. Guy has gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience over the years working for such agencies as the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Tobacco Board, and the Arkansas Department of Correction. Guy has been with the Ashley County Sheriff’s Department since January 2007. He supervises the Patrol Deputies and the Criminal Investigation Division. Guy is also a Forensic Detective with expertise in death investigations and Crime Scenes. Guy has many additional duties. He is a Deputy Coroner for the county. Guy also supervises approximately 70 sex offenders within the county. He has over 2500 hours of professional training which include but not limited to;
